Your Field Reports and Expedition Chronicle

All about your daily recaps and how to share them

After each day in the field, your guide may publish a Field Report: a short recap of where you went and what you saw. At the end of a multi-day expedition you'll get an Expedition Chronicle, which tells the story of the whole trip.

What's in one

  • A note from your guide about the day

  • The day's most notable sightings

  • A stat line: species seen, sightings logged, and how your Most Wanted list is coming along

  • A look ahead at tomorrow

The Expedition Chronicle covers the whole trip: day-by-day highlights, your full species list, the final Most Wanted tally, and a closing note from your guide.

When it arrives

Dispatches are usually sent out in the evening or the next day – depending on your guide's availability and operator settings. On transit or very quiet days, a Field Report may not be sent.

Your Expedition Chronicle becomes available after your trip has finished.

Where to find them

  • In the app — on your trip screen, and on the itinerary day they belong to.

  • By email — if your operator has your address.

  • As a notification — if you've allowed them, you'll know the moment one is published

Share cards

Tap Share on a report to generate a story card perfect for sharing as an Instagram story or on other social media. Several designs may be available:

  • Day's Highlights — the day in numbers and notable sightings

  • Featured sighting — one of your own photos as the background for a specific animal sighting

  • Most Wanted — your party's progress towards your Most Wanted list
