If you're on a day tour, you don't need to install anything. Leave an email address and your recap arrives once your guide has wrapped up the day.
Signing up
Scan the QR code your guide or operator shows you — often at check-in, on the vehicle, or on a printed itinerary — or follow the link they send you.
The page leads with a short form: enter your email address and that's it.
You can also sign up after the tour has finished, using the same link or code. Even if the recap has already been sent out, you'll still get it immediately.
Choosing the right departure
If your operator runs the same tour often, the page works out which departure you were on from the date. If the guess is wrong you can correct it on the form: pick your date from the list, and you'll get the recap for the right run of the tour.
What arrives
An email covering your departure: what your group spotted, the notable moments of the day, a note from your guide, and a highlight card you're welcome to share. Everything opens in a browser, so it reads well on any phone or computer.
Using the Fieldmarks App on a tour
Although not required, you can use the same Fieldmarks Expedition App on a day tour too — with some important differences.
You can log into the app using the same code given by your tour operator, and take advantage of functionality like:
Viewing itinerary and guide details (offline)
Wildlife Library of the species in your region (offline)
Interactive map of the region (offline)
View realtime sightings logged by your guide (if you both have data), otherwise view later when synced
Be notified of your Tour Recap and view it when it's published
Note, however, that tour guests cannot log their own sightings, and the app is therefore read-only.
